Rainbows
The Rainbows classroom has learning centers for math, science, dramatic play, music, creative art and computers which provide opportunities to balance both shared and independent learning experiences. Visits (to) local museums and parks and (from) community helpers supplement classroom learning within the broader context.
In our classroom we aspire to offer the perfect backdrop for educational success and flourishing students. Preschoolers are introduced to cognitive skills, sequencing, matching, social, diversity, language arts, storytelling, writing, and more so as to the stage for self confidence by encouraging progress at a child’s own pace, according to individual needs and abilities.
Kristen Domico – Rainbows
Pre-K Lead Teacher
Hello, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Kristen Domico and I am a Pre-K Counts lead teacher at Grace Trinity Academy. I work in the Rainbows classroom and I have been teaching here since December 2011. I graduated from Temple University with a B.S in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I also received my PA Teacher Certificate shortly after graduating.
I love teaching especially this age group of 3-5. I think at this age the students in my classroom are an open book. They are all willing and ready to learn any task that we approach together. I think that Early Childhood Education is so important and that is why I love what I do!
I am married and have two beautiful children. My husband and I have been married for 4 years but have been together for almost 10. My daughter, Olivia is 3 and my son, Jaxon is 6 months. We do a lot together as a family and I am forever grateful for the amazing family I have.
My teaching philosophy is that children learn best when they, not others, are deciding what they are learning, with whom they are learning, and how well they are learning. It is therefore, an integral part of good education to provide students with the opportunity for choice, group interaction, and self-evaluation.
Jessenia Diana – Rainbows
My name is Jessenia Diana I am a Pre-K Counts teacher at Grace Trinity Academy in the Rainbow classroom. I have been a teacher at GTA for 4 years. I graduated from Eastern University with my Associates degree in Early Childhood. I am a mother to a wonderful five year old named Niyalese and in my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. My mission in education is to prepare children to become self-reliant and productive; to teach them to think and speak with clarity and independence. I plan to inspire them to embrace challenge and find happiness through achievement. My favorite educational quote is “Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best.” -Bob Talber
